Machined Components

Cope Precision machine components to customer specifications using modern CNC machinery including 3 axis and 5 axis milling machines as well as CNC lathes and CNC spark erosion.

We can machine components in many different materials including aluminium, copper, brass, stainless steels, carbon steels, tool steels (both hard and soft), and other exotic alloys. This can be either customer supplied or sourced from our regular suppliers. With 18KW spindles our machines are flexible enough to be able to machine some of the toughest materials.

Utilising our smaller 5 axis machine complete with 7 station pallet changer we can machine large batches but are also flexible enough to machine one offs too. This smaller machine will take a work piece of 250mm cubed depending on the application. Our larger 5 axis machine will take a part up to 700mm diameter x 600mm high.

Our machines are equipped with the latest Renishaw probing and tool height measuring systems which help ensure the high accuracy of parts whilst maintaining competitive pricing, cutting down cycle times and setting operations and also enabling us to run ‘lights out’.

With the help of modern manufacturing software we can machine castings to technical drawings and/or CAD models.

Components are inspected to high standards in our inspection department using our CNC Co-ordinate measuring machine and other measuring devices regularly calibrated in line with our ISO 9001 accreditation.
